“It’s a basic truth of the human condition that everybody lies. The only variable is about what.”
“Our bodies break down, sometimes when we’re 90, sometimes before we’re even born, but it always happens and there’s never any dignity in it. I don’t care if you can walk, see, wipe your own ass. It’s always ugly. Always. You can live with dignity, we can’t die with it.”
“There is not a thin line between love and hate. There is — in fact — a Great Wall of China with armed sentries posted every 20 feet between love and hate.”
“If you can fake sincerity, you can fake pretty much anything.”
“A psychic once told me that I’m psychic.”
I have been watching the T.V series “House M.D.” for quite sometimes now(in the middle of the second season) and I am enjoying the show. With that said, I don’t think I would watch it the way I have been watching it. Whenever I choose a T.V series I watch it till the end (a typical behavior of Millenials). In the past, I have even skipped lunch and dinner to watch the show without break.
House M.D. is a very intense show. Yeah, it contains witty and funny remarks from Dr. House but at times the remarks of other characters including House are very thought-provoking and often disturbing in a way that they challenge the existing belief system. This show is not like Friends, How I met Your Mother or The Big Bang Theory which are pure comedy very fun to watch at all times.
I think I am acting like Dr. House, no no I have not become more intelligent than I was before instead, I have become annoying and harsh to other people. I think it is the House Effect. I have stopped watching it for now and will continue after sometime.
It’s highly unlikely for Pheriwalas to read my blog or any other blog per se, but Man they are artistic..!! I live in a locality where we can not take naps during the daytime. Seriously ..!! I often use my noise cancelling earphones and a light music if I am going to take a nap in the afternoon.
Our beloved Pheriwalas have made the narrow streets their performing ground where they announce their products so artistically that you are bound to notice. Sometimes they are funny and hilarious but if you are sleeping or trying to sleep they are just noisy. It’s hard to portray how selling RO water could be made so melodious, but they make it sound as if they are selling a supernatural element. Sometimes you have to look out of the window just to see the person without any intention of purchasing anything, just because of curiosity.
Like every other people they also have stories of their own and they have pretty interesting ones. If you think you the only one with good stories perhaps it’s time to do a reality check. Next time when you purchase anything from these Pheriwalas, try to have a small chat with them and try to find out their side of the story. You would be astonished to see their hardships and sacrifices and if you are anything like me you’ll pay gratitude to God after listening to their side of stories and you would thank God for giving you a great life with full of luxuries and comforts.
The short answer to this question is buy a Jio sim card in my neighborhood.
Only a fool with a 4G phone would miss the Jio deal so I purchased one and was waiting impatiently the whole night for the sim card activation. Got the message on my alternate mobile phone that my sim card has been activated at 11:30 PM but still no signal on my phone . Made couple of calls, searched a couple of blogs only to find out that I have to wait till the morning to figure this out.
The night was way too long than usual but I waited only to find out in the morning that there’s something wrong with my phone. It raised my curiosity even more and challenged me enough to find out the solution for my latest problem. Thanks to the internet I found a solution and the Jio 4G was running on my phone. Free 4GB per day..!! I was ecstatic, I made a couple of video calls to my folks at home(they also use Jio) and shared my happiness.
It was all good until I came home and my phone said, “Emergency calls only”. I am a strong person and I like being challenged so again I buried my head in the laptop to find the solution to this problem. It was 10 o’clock in the evening and I had exhausted all my tips and tricks which I learned from the internet only to realize that I have lost all day in search of the free internet.
Again, Jio deal is incredible but only for people who are in a good reception area. It was a fun day overall.
I was a kid studying in senior secondary when I first heard the word cloudin the context of computing. Since we only had access to the Internet through Internet cafes which were a huge waste of time even at that time, we normally avoided going there.
Unlike nowadays the only places where one can learn new things were the places where we meet new kind of people, and by new kind, I mean people from different background. Things were pretty rough back then and information was not available like it is nowadays. Yes, Wikipedia, Google, Yahoo, even Facebook was there but they weren’t as popular as they are now.
Cloud was a big word back then. Alas, I could never understand that term completely. Yes, it was more than enough to make my relatives understand what it meant but I wasn’t sure about it and didn’t know it’s true power until recently. Since past couple of months, I have been working in Jamia Millia Islamia, as they have decided to put everything on the cloud. Believe it or not, until now 90% of examination process was manual in the university.
Here is a funny video that went viral long time ago, in this video Vishwa Bandhu Gupta, a former IT (income tax) commissioner explains the Cloud. Don’t forget to share if you like it.
